Sharon von Schoenberg, BCom, CIPS, CAE – Associate Director of Global & Commercial Programs at The Canadian Real Estate Association
As Associate Director, Global and Commercial Programs, Sharon is responsible for leading CREA global and commercial member engagement programs and initiatives that align with CREA’s strategic priorities. She fosters a positive impact on the REALTOR® ecosystems, promotes best practices, provides leadership and is always looking for new initiatives that will build REALTORS® global and commercial knowledge and business. Sharon also provides representation to a diverse network of real estate related organizations in Canada and abroad and knows the importance of relationship building for success.
Prior to joining CREA Sharon was a Canadian residential appraiser and held marketing and client management positions in the private and non-profit sectors. In addition to her extensive program management and marketing experience, Sharon believes in the importance of building relationships to be successful. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa, is a Certified Association Executive and a Certified International Property Specialists (Association) designee.
David Powell – Global Council Chair at Manitoba Real Estate Association
David Powell has held numerous volunteer leader roles in local, provincial and national levels of organized real estate, and holds a seat on the Manitoba Securities Commission Real Estate Advisory Council and the Chair of the province’s Global Business Council. Powell, of Powell Property Group, was previously president of WinnipegRealtors, the Independent Real Estate Brokers of Manitoba, the 2019 president of Manitoba Real Estate Association and the Broker Owner of Powell Property Group.
As an experienced REALTOR and broker, he knows how important it is to utilize the services of a professional association to keep apprised of current legislation, to participate in organized social responsibility initiatives and to be an active political advocate representing the needs of our clients and industry. Manitoba was one of the first provinces in Canada to form a Global business Council for the benefit of members, economic industry, and forming & fostering the global relationships beyond our borders.
