MetroTex and CCAR Approve Plan of Merger

On March 27, 2025, the Collin County Area REALTORS®  and MetroTex Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors voted to approve a Plan of Merger. This vote allows both associations to participate in a due diligence period. By merging the two strongest associations in the region, we hope to take a significant step forward for the real estate industry in North Texas.

Both CCAR and MetroTex remain committed to transparency and open communication throughout this process. You’re invited to visit StrongerTogether.Realestate—your central resource for information related to the proposed merger.

Visit the website, check back for updates and submit any questions you may have. Your voice is essential, and if the due diligence process leads to a final merger proposal, members will ultimately have the final vote

This is not simply about combining two organizations, but about creating a unified voice for real estate professionals at a time when our industry demands it. Together, we have the expertise, history, and vision to enhance services, advocate more effectively, and create a more resilient and forward-thinking association. The real estate industry is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and by coming together, we ensure that our members remain at the forefront of that evolution.

This merger is about scale and strength. A unified association will wield greater influence in advocacy, provide expanded professional development opportunities, and offer more robust resources to every member. We will be better equipped to serve our communities, support our members’ success, and navigate the ever-changing landscape.

While honoring the rich histories of both MetroTex and CCAR, we also recognize the invaluable contributions of each. By moving forward together we do not erase the past but build upon it.

We appreciate your patience while we complete each step of the process with the care and attention it requires. However, we know you will have questions, and we commit to remaining transparent and forthcoming throughout every stage of the process. As part of this effort, you will receive an update in no less than 30 days via email and be invited to participate in informational sessions. You will also have access to an informational website next week, but we wanted to make sure you heard this exciting news from us first.  We look forward to being stronger together.
