MLS Office Attribution Contact

Why do people keep calling my office’s phone number about my listings instead of my phone number?

NAR passed the Broker attribution policy which states that websites “must identify the listing firm and an email or phone number provided by listing participant in a reasonably prominent location.”

To accomplish this, NTREIS added the “Office Attribution Contact” field in listing input. This shows what contact information is going to be displayed on your listings when they are syndicated out.

The Attribution Contact will default to the Office Phone Number.

The broker for the office decides what the attribution contact for all their agents will be. They can choose:

• Office Phone
• Office Email
• None
• Agent Phone
• Agent Email

The broker can also choose “Override” to allow the individual agents to enter whatever contact information they would like shown on their listings.
